Biography

My name is Jalen Garcia. I am a Bergen Community College and Montclair State University graduate with an Associates of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management.

I am from the NY/NJ area. Growing up and living in the metropolitan area exposed me to a lot of small and large businesses that catered to clothing. Attending school in the area and working here also provided an extensive network. I have work experience in sales, the retail industry, and the freight and package transportation industry.

I am a visionary who likes to create ideas and bring them to reality. My focus is design and fashion. My artwork is inspired through sports, music, cinema and television, history, and current events. Currently, I create framed collages but have rugs, clothing, and accessories coming soon.

Melody’s Legacy began from a hobby, which then turned into a passion. The business is inspired from my late grandmother who possessed all the qualities I have and more. She led me to the fashion and art world and is the reason the business will continue to grow and become successful.
